Currently, I am in charge of the manufacturing department and mainly responsible for product manufacturing and process management.
We handle nearly 250 products. Each of those products is composed of different materials, conditions, and machine settings.
Specifically, I investigate the cause and adjust the settings of the machine when a quality inspector reports a defect. Also, we always search for improvements for better quality and perform regular maintenance of machines for stable production.
When I first joined the company, it was difficult just to grasp them. As I repeated trial and error in machine maintenance and troubleshooting, I became able to understand the characteristics of both products and machines.
Maybe we are just a supplier of stationary parts, but Japanese stationery goods are very popular in global markets. It is very rewarding to think that the thing we manufacture every day reaches people all over the world eventually and I can contribute not a little.
Currently, I am in charge of product inspection and packing work.
While doing the packing work, we regularly inspect the standards set of each product so that defective products are not mixed. Also, I support the production to facilitate the process, such as the preparation of materials.
It is easy for women to work at Unipoint Co., Ltd because our company has an environment in which taking childcare leave is easy.
Also, our company has a large female ratio of 60% which makes it a cozy place for a female to work. I returned to work from childcare leave last year, and now as a mother, I can balance my family and work well.
